Moil Primary School has been part of the Darwin community for over 50 years. Named after the Maringar Aboriginal people of the Moyle River region, our school reflects a deep respect for culture, history and community.
From our beginnings in 1972 to today, Moil has grown into a vibrant learning environment set within spacious landscaped grounds. While our facilities have modernised, our core values remain unchanged — care, respect and achievement for every child.
Our school is a place where every child feels safe, welcomed and valued. We create a community where all learners belong, participate and grow together.
These values guide how we learn, grow and care for one another.
We aim to foster lifelong skills, healthy habits and a strong sense of achievement through experiential learning. Through participation in the program, students develop:
Moil Primary School hosts a dedicated Intensive English Unit (IEU) for students newly arrived in Australia with limited English proficiency.
Our specialised program supports students for up to 12 months, focusing on English, Mathematics and integrated learning, ensuring a confident transition into mainstream schooling.
Our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program gives students hands-on opportunities to grow fresh produce, prepare healthy meals and learn where food comes from.
Through garden and kitchen experiences, students build confidence, teamwork and practical life skills while developing a love of healthy, seasonal food.
